BJ Reed Snowfall

For my Snowfall design I used BJ's Cabin blocks as the background. Various snippets of papers, polyester fabrics, and Angelina fibers were placed on top of the blocks with netting and polyester fabrics as overlays. Crazy patchworks in various shading portray the shading and dimension of the quilt. To further emphasis the three dimensional view, piping, free motion quilting and decorative stitches were used, with metallic, cotton, and rayon threads. Hand stitching, beading, and pastles complete the 40" by 22" contemporary quilt.

		Snowfall
	I tried to capture the wonderful majesty of the snowfall in the mountains that are across the way, viewed from my window.
